Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and bilingual Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as providing key insights to support our financial decision-making process.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to highlight key performance indicators.
- Generate ad-hoc reports to support management decision-making.
- General Ledger Management:
- Oversee the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Supervise accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable collections.
- Review and approve billing and invoicing activities.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of annual budgets.
- Support forecasting activities to aid in financial planning.
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Coordinate and facilitate external audits and examinations.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
- Implement improvements to optimize workflow and reduce errors.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial expertise and support.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the finance or automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
